Amphenol rose $.27 or .7 percent, to $41.36.
Avnet rose $.29 or 1.2 percent, to $25.23.
Emerson Electric rose $.82 or 2.1 percent, to $38.97.
Thomas & Betts rose $.35 or 1.0 percent, to $34.90.
